AOCS Engineer

Job Description

  • Analyse applicable AOCS/GNC system requirements
  • Perform AOCS/GNC functional analysis and elaborate applicable Work Breakdown Structures
  • Elaborate suitable AOCS/GNC architecture designs to applicable requirements
  • Manage and contribute to developing AOCS/GNC algorithms for orbital missions
  • Develop covariance analysis tools to assess state estimation performance 
  • Implement AOCS/GNC models into Matlab/Simulink simulation tools
  • Elaborate and execute model verification and validation strategies
  • Elaborate system verification and validation test reports
  • Optimize AOCS/GNC parameters in collaboration with image processing experts to achieve required system performance
  • Elaborate and contribute to project documentation including system test, V&V, performance assessment and other applicable documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS (Licenciatura) Engineering degree in Physics/Robotics/Aerospace or equivalent
  • C/C++ programming
  • Experience with AOCS/GNC development in Matlab/Simulink
  • Prior Experience in the scope of European Space Agency projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Experience in orbit determination and mission analysis
